She is going to be on the 5th floor of a condo with friends. Also a medical condition has flared up that prevents her from driving too far.

Your mom may end up taking in friends from the west coast. Our neighbors in the Tampa area and our place in central Florida are all battening down or leaving.

Both our mobile homes are...mobile homes but also very vulnerable to flooding, one just off the bay on a canal and the other in a big hollow between hills and river filled with beautiful marsh and little areas of slightly higher ground where mostly retirees and snowbirds chose to settle and enjoy it. We had actually offered the marsh one in central Florida to a church group for potential Harvey refugees, but Irma, and now Jose, have put a stop to that. Sounds likely permanently. They're wondering what else might happen, and we are too. Friends and relatives in Florida who might need to evacuate always know they're available to them, but at this point, where are they going?
