LMFAO - Irish Edition of Getting a Bat out of the House

?t=7

I remember my mother trying to swat a bat down with a broom in the living room of our house. Funny , now that I think about it, as she chased it around the cat was leaping from chair to sofa to piano trying to get the flying beastie. The little buggers liked to roost in our chimney and after the third or forth bat/house encounter, my dad got on the roof and sealed the chimney and almost killed himself .

If the animal is lucky, it will get snagged in the fabric and you can take it outside to release. If it's unlucky, the T-shirt acts as a catapult and it will fling the bat against the wall.

So don't swing with the T-shirt too hard; the point is to snag it in the fabric, not fling it like a projectile.

It scared me to death! I killed the poor thing with a large dictionary and immediately felt bad about it. Bats are highly beneficial and I normally am delighted to see them. How it ever got into my room I'll never know. I have also climed into bed and immediately been stung by a wasp, and once I found a medium-sized black scorpion between my sheets. Ah, the joys of country living!
