Ryan could pass his 18 month debt limit bill but he doesn't have the votes due to his extremist caucus. McConnell doesn't have 60 votes without Dems. So after all of the years of their crap when Obama was president, it's payback time and it's entirely on the Republicans for the bind their leadership is in.

Years ago I used to entertain myself by signing up at FR and baiting somebody into wishing death on John McCain. This usually resulted in their getting banned after a fiery flame war. The whole process took about 15 minutes. Good times.
