The nation can breathe a sigh of relief. We've agreed to help those recovering from Hurricane Harvey, avoid default, & avoid a shutdown.

that any benefit for the American people will come from Democrats. 45 just wants a "win", he really doesn't care how he gets it.

I'm 100% "blue" and have been sick with grief since our President's last day in office (in January), but right now - living in Orlando with a huge hurricane coming at me, states engulfed in flames, states flooded, Dreamers in jeopardy, a debt ceiling that needs to be raised (i work for the VA and we depend on government funding to take care of our Veterans) - I don't care and frankly don't begrudge 45's "win" because (a) its because of Democrats and (b) because it will benefit Americans.

Democrats lead
Democrats govern
Democrats care

Trump cuts the legs out from under the people who have sustained uncalculated long term political damage to support him only to have him make Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi the cats that ate the Canary.

So the republicans will have to vote twice for things their Nazi(Godwin's law suspended after C-ville) supporter cannot stand.

If the Democratic party can stick together, and yes raise enough money, we can start slowly turning this thing around. It will not be one fell swoop, but slowly winning back state seats and finally house seats.

The one lesson we should learn is that being an ideologue snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. A moderate Democrat beats the hell out of a moderate republican. Especially in the South or Midwest. The republicans should have by now pushed their entire regressive, racist agenda down our throats. But they have become a party of ideologues incapable of compromise. We just cannot allow ourselves to make the same mistake.

Have a nice evening.
