Worse, that "speech" he gave in Bismarck today, where he ordered her to come on the stage with him -- it sounded like he was derailing himself. He called himself "daddy" and held the spot and the demand, talking about it until she came up.

This is making me wonder if his dementia is taking another dip, if he is signaling to her somehow at WH meetings (press button for "Rescue ASAP" ) and if calling her on stage the way he did was an indication that he had lost the thread of his thoughts and needed to be rescued.

I would not be surprised if the family keeps a listening device active at all time. That way they know when to step in and keep him from completely embarrassing himself.
