Kate Millet died

She was an important second wave feminist. She famously got into an argument with Norman Mailer - who argued against her characterization of his work in her first book Sexual Politics.

Later, she wrote The Looney Bin Trip, describing her journey into psychosis and her eventual way out. She was on meds for many years, but eventually was able to stabilize herself with environmental (and behavioral) changes (she bought and lived on a Christmas Tree Farm).

The Basement, about the torture-murder of a young girl, Sylvia Likens. It's a horrifying but fascinating story (there was only one spoon in the house, for example), with an equally fascinating after-story when one of the perpetrators went on a remorse tour.
