3. Entire Southeast....but I have a special hope for the poor people of Haiti

As bad as it is throughout the Caribbean, Haiti just can't take yet ANOTHER disaster. There will be little help this time around, I fear, as so much devastation is being spread throughout.

I also have intense concerns over the massive wildfires throughout the West. The air is thick with smoke giving some eerily beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The amount of acres burning throughout the region is incredible.

Yet, we don't dare mention global warming/climate change, now do we?

6. Haiti is the disgrace for the northern hemisphere, that we allow this tragedy to continue

they have had earthquakes, hurricanes & have not recovered from any of them. They are not prepared for Irma, they don't have they means.
I am appalled that we allow this deprivation to continue

I've never seen the power of a hurricane except in videos, but they scare the beejeebers out of me. You will be in my thoughts and prayers for a safe escape/riding it out. I don't know what I would do.
