This morning on FB some Trump-loving douchenozzle called me out with this statement:
I love the career politicians dislike of Trump, because he isn't part of the good old boys club of lifetime politicians.
Well, of course I just couldnt let that go. My response:
Yeah. And I love the career heart surgeons' dislike of Fumbles Magoo, because he isn't part of the good old boys club of actually qualified physicians.
I love the career airline pilots' dislike of Crash Hanrahan, because he isn't part of the good old boys club of actually qualified aviators.
I love the career investment bankers' dislike of Shifty Ponzoni, because he isn't part of the good old boys club of actually qualified investors.
And I love the career American politicians' dislike of Ivan Beatanov, because he isn't part of the good old boys club of actually qualified US government employees.

(1,965 posts)I hope so. I worked with a guy, years ago, who went that route on a home remodel. Close to completion, the inspectors somehow got onto him. Made him rip everything out, fined him triple what the permits would have cost plus made him get new permits.

(3,321 posts)The leap of imagination it takes to believe that Trump hasn't been in tight and close with politicians for years and years and years. He's even admitted to buying politicians and how proud of it he is. Just be cause he's "not a politician" doesn't mean he's not in the club. Club owners like the Mercers, the Kochs, etc... don't put their name above the door. Makes more business sense for them to keep their filthy money deep in undisclosed superPACs.

(90,034 posts)Yeah! Screw that doctor with all the fancy-ass paper degrees. The mechanic down the street is just as good for removing this tumor I have... One good yank with the nice firm grip on his wrench and I'm all better!
THANK YOU for writing that up, posting it, and then sharing it here! It's terrific! Mind if I borrow it?

(17,821 posts)One cannot use a wrench to remove a tumor. One must use a needle-nose pliers. Everyone knows that.
A wrench has no use in anatomy. A power drill, on the other hand, has many medical uses.
