Are there fears of people being stranded out on the road when Irma hits?

I saw a story this morning that said people are parking cars on elevated roads and bridges in hope of avoiding having them flooded. A multi-level parking garage? OK On roads and bridges needed for evacuation? Selfish idiots.

From the maps the wind might be as bad in Orlando but it's a lot further from the ocean. He is driving a company car, left his car at his girlfriend's place in Boca Raton, a few miles further inland than where he lives (Lake Worth).
