All of the news lately is making me really grumpy and out of sorts.

And that's bad, because I'm a grumpy old man anyhow. Between hurricanes, earthquakes and an idiot in the White House who seems likely to get us into a war over North Korea that could kill untold numbers of people, I'm just not in a very good mood these days.

So, please excuse me if I sometimes get impatient and sarcastic about mundane things that have nothing to do with those major events. I'm an old geezer with a short attention span who is trying to make sense out of nonsense right now. Please bear with me on this a little, if you don't mind.

Just sayin...

I commiserate........and in your same boat..... let's drink a 'virtual' beer together, talk about some good times and work on making some better times....yeah these times suck, big time.

Mix little Metamucil in a beer and exchange an hour of news a day for reading a good book. Then repeat daily until symptoms calm down. This is not a cure, just makes living with the condition more manageable. 😬

I feel like this guy:

Since I'm not in a hurricane zone I probably don't have that much to worry about, at least in the immediate future, but it seems like every time I turn on the TV or the computer I find out there's another disaster: Two record-breaking hurricanes, maybe another one on the way, a big earthquake in Mexico and nuke tests in North Korea. And that's just this morning. To make things exponentially worse, the management of these crises is in the tiny hands of the most incompetent, feckless president ever. Makes me want to have martinis in the morning instead of coffee.

The news has been even more horrible for the past couple of weeks and it isn't going to settle down for a while. I'm not going to have any patience either for the shit stirrers. I've been staying out of the petty threads blaming allies for all our woes and that has got me more than the usual jury duty calls. I'm voting against every muckraker, no matter whose side.
