DACA freeze exacerbates Greenville SC workforce shortages

Ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, he said, will only hurt the state's economy.

"Thousands of DACA residents are filling critical holes in our region’s workforce," Phillips said in a statement from the chamber. "Our businesses already run with thousands of unfilled positions each day" ...

The state of South Carolina has about 7,000 DACA enrollees.
