... The articles Im reading are calling us "aliens." They make us seem foreign and unintelligible, so nobody will understand were human beings. They say Im a criminal.
All day I have been sitting in class trying to pay attention. Im in the United States for the education that my parents save every penny to pay for. We pay our taxes. I saved up $10,000 myself, and I spent it all on tuition and school and classes in the first half year of school. I get no federal aid, obviously, as a DACA recipient.
I just need three more months to finish my degree. Im in the last stretch, and theyre going to cut my legs from under me? ...
Im not a very emotional person, but Im just so scared. My family lived in hiding for so long, and I didnt even know I was hidden. Then, after DACA, I was proud to be able to thrive in this country. Now, I cant do anything that will make me stand out in a crowd. I feel like I have to go back into hiding ...

(51,590 posts)This is what life is like here in CA and it is unbelievably cruel and unnecessary to put wonderful people through this. Compare the moral and ethical values and contributions to our country of the Dreamers to that of "real Americans" who wear Nazi symbols and profess hate toward about 95% of the people living in this country legally.

(11,098 posts)Stay strong. Whatever you do, complete your education.
My hope is that nothing is going to happen for three months - if then. I believe that even the Repugnants can bear the heat of actually deporting the Dreamers. However, no matter what happens, they cannot take your education away.
You represent the American dream. We're counting on you!

(9,865 posts)We want you here.
Many will fight on your behalf.
The haters are a loud minority.
Do not listen to them.
You are called Dreamers because you have earned that word.
You are just what our country needs.
Do not despair.

(4,033 posts)They have said nothing will happen for at least 6 months and, by then, enough people will have registered their dismay that either Congress, the Orange Shitgibbon, or the Courts will have put DACA folks back under protection.
We are strong, we are committed, and we will fight! Over 70% of Americans want dreamers protected. We want you here as fellow Americans and we will do everything in our power to make our voices heard and we will let Congress know that if they won't do their job and listen to a large majority of voters, then we, the voters, will find other people who will do what we, the electorate, want them to do. 2018 is not that far away!
Hang in there and be brave!

(100,069 posts)The hate fad will die out and the haters and Nazis will hopefully go away forever. People are waking up to the unfiltered hate in this country and while it's getting to be a huge problem, hopefully it will even out or die off once these racists and Nazis start getting outed. We do not want immigrants to leave.

If someone should be deported with a good kick ass, it is him.
Dreamers represent a promise for the future and will be part of the driving forces.
Which idiot cannot understand that???

That's who immigrants are. Never let anyone use the word illegal or the word alien or the word undocumented to describe them. Immigrants help America. We want them here. They work hard and contribute to society. Words matter. Use the right ones, everyone.
