(1,204 posts)It is scary how the internet allows mentally ill people to confirm each others crazy thoughts. The comments on that video are disturbing. No doubt some are sarcastic, but plenty accept to that way of thinking. 😓

(10,252 posts)that climate change is a CIA plot to make Al Gore rich. And he could prove it. I was flabbergasted that anyone could be so stupid. Left me speechless.

For this one, I didn't know. But I knew he has been credited with many apocryphal quotes.

(10,252 posts)If a reasonable person stopped to even do the simple math, it would seem obvious that there are simply not enough planes to seed clouds, and certainly not enough silver nitrate or dry ice to seed a Cat 5 hurricane. It's simply preposterous. And that doesn't even account for a decent man like Al Gore to want to rain death and destruction on millions of people for a few bucks.

(61,588 posts)Wars could be stopped in their tracks by dropping a hurricane on them. Much more effective than bombs. We could say to the folks in the Middle East - now knock it off or we'll send some Cat 5 hurricanes over you.

(10,252 posts)that bribing Republicans to launder their billions and take bribes is far more effective than waging a hot war.
FuzzyRabbit
(1,967 posts)It was far less expensive and much quicker to take over the US government by bribing the leaders of the Republican party then it would have been had they waged a shooting war.

(37,158 posts)...though unclear in what time zone. But then, for this person the time zone is the least relevant "zone" she is in.
I have a mildly morbid curiosity whether the concept of "range" and "coverage gaps" will dawn on her as as the eye of the hurricane "magically" extrudes from Cuba. Or, as seems more likely, what bizarre theory will account for it (maybe those "NOAA CGI guys" got behind schedule?).
The comments are a hoot too. A really sad hoot, but a hoot nonetheless.

(18,600 posts)I nearly peed. No, a coverage gap will never occur to this one. She either thinks there are radar stations in mid-ocean or that radar has infinite range...
I would be happy to drive her to Florida and drop her off with an umbrella so she can see first hand what is happening on the ground. Ft Myers may be a nice place to watch from.
