Just learned there is a curfew in Seminole and Orange county.
Hurricane Irma curfews: Seminole, Orange counties start at 7 p.m. Sunday
Seminole and Orange county officials want residents and visitors indoors by Sunday at 7 p.m.
The curfew will last until 6 p.m. Monday, officials said.
The curfew, persons are prohibited from being on public streets, highways, parks or other public places, the Seminole County press release read. Restrictions will be enforced by all law enforcement agencies throughout the county.
Exemptions include people in search of medical assistance or food, emergency personnel. medical professionals and pharmacists.
The curfew includes Orlando and other cities within Orange County.

As of 7 p.m. Saturday, Seminole and Orange were the only counties in Central Florida to issue a curfew, although officials are considering them.
Winds are expected to pick up on Sunday evening and peak around 2 a.m. Monday, according to forecasts.

(46,705 posts)experience more than Tropical winds. Biggest problem for Seminole County will be flooding. They know they're in for a ride because they have played footloose and fancy free with flood zone regulations since the nineties. Let's just say that the early wetland mitigation swaps may not have all been properly documented. If we get more than a 100 year flood rainfall within an hour, we will be way over the limits of capacity. IMHO.

City of Miami is 7:00 to 7:00.
Miami Beach is 8:00 to 8:00.
Coral Gables is 8:00 to 7:00.
