TRUMP IS AN EVIL MAN. Trump tells cabinet Hurricane Irma means wealthy need their tax cuts faster.

Trump’s got another priority for his cabinet: massive tax cuts for the uber rich.
That’s right. At today’s cabinet meeting, Trump made sure every cabinet member present knew that the hurricane means a “speed up” in delivering on his “tax reform” agenda.
Despite the populist rhetoric, the reality of Trump’s push for tax cuts could not be more clear: massive tax breaks for corporations and the nation’s millionaires and billionaires.

TRUMP: To create prosperity at home we’ll be discussing our plan for dramatic tax cuts and tax reform. And I think now with what’s happened with the hurricane, I’m gonna ask for a speed up. I wanted a speed up any way, but now we need it even more so. So we need to simplify the tax code, reduce taxes very substantially on the middle class. And make our business tax more globally competitive. We’re the highest anywhere in the world right now.

propaganda media that told us our taxes were the highest in the world - and we were stupid enough to believe it - we'd want to cut our taxes also.

This is a terrible sales pitch because there's no defined relationship between the weather and tax cuts. How are people supposed to believe this?

it's crystal clear. They can't see why the rest of America doesn't get it!

It's another of the "dog whistle" issues for them. They see perfect logic here, while the rest of America says

When Trump speaks they say they understand perfectly, while every other sentient being on the planet has no idea what they're talking about. It's a "Republican thing". Sort of like the old RCA Victor dog, listening to "his master's voice", (for those of here who were around when TV was invented.)

From...Robert Reich
This morning Trump tweeted: "We are the highest taxed nation in the world - that will change."

Baloney. The most meaningful measure is taxes paid as a percentage of GDP. As you can see from the graph below, the U.S. has the 4th lowest taxes of any major economy. (Only South Korea, Chile, and Mexico ranking lower.)

And the wealthiest 1 percent in the U.S. pay the lowest taxes as a percent of their income and total wealth of any country anywhere – and lower than they’ve ever paid even in the U.S.

Once again, Trump and the Republicans are dealing with a non-problem, while ignoring the biggest problems.

What do you think?

This is NO time to cut taxes - when we've got not one but at least two EPIC hurricane messes to clean up. That's as absurd and nonsensical as cutting taxes right before you take the country to war.

Oh wait...

He's on a roll now that he thinks everyone loves him because he put some food in people's trucks and told everyone to have a good time. They were all smiling weren't they? Well there's your proof! He feels free to do the bum's rush on everyone.

... Just as Health care is now more clearly understood by our citizenry so will the inequity built into our system of taxation become exposed... The Peter Principle was more obvious while a "real" Dick(Cheney) was in charge however the GOP will again shoot themselves in the foot and their whining will further expose their narcissism..."keep hope alive"... The best slogan since Carters "energy independence" campaign.... Best wishes

pay your massive debts. If anything, you have to formulate a payment plan to address the debt AND its interest as well as curtail the amount of the debt. You get to a point where you just don't have the disposable income to "create prosperity". (I know, I know, the theory is that the prosperity will create the capital to pay the debt. It didn't work with Reagan and the Bushes. If anything, their tax cuts added to the amount of the debt.)
