The wisdom of Ali Velshi this AM

You have no people living in the un-populated areas all the way up
to the areas that are populated and people live there.

Concrete does not absorb water.

You can get hurt or killed if a tree falls on you even without winds.

The construction site is not active right now.

People think that there's nothing to doing play-by-play of breaking news. Those things that seem to make sense shouldn't necessarily be verbalized. If you watch the Kennedy assassination as it happened you can see the difference between the pros of yesteryear and the infotainment folk of today.

A large uninhabited area until you get up to uhhhh an inhabited area. I give them a break today, all of the reporters are exhausted

one of their "lighter" reporters. I didn't hear the original gaf, but he apparently meant literally weight against the wind and some took it wrong. I have an image of eager-to-be-offended women's and POC's rights militants leaping to their keyboards.

Those days are over. Now it seems like the quiet time it takes to draw a new breath is to be avoided.

I should go back to bed for a few more winks. I've been up since around 5:30 Mountain Time and I'm getting cranky.

The poor guy has been pulling double and triple shifts filling in for vacationing colleagues on top of his regular two shows daily. I'm amazed he's still even nominally coherent.

I have to forgive the few gaffs and blunders, as in general he has been doing everybody's job.
