It's still expected to be at hurricane strength when it starts to move up into AL and GA. Then it will fizzle fast except for the torrential rain.

"Only" a category 2 is no bargain. Sustained 110 MPH winds plus higher gusts are still no joke and can do a lot of damage.

They can't hide this.

I've already seen a lot of pictures of the Keys. (Not wiped out as so many here seemed to wish)

But the damage is extensive.

We're not even in the direct path here in NC, but we've had wind all day.

Rain expected by morning, with more wind. I can already see her on the radar here.
