Eight people, including a suspect, were killed Sunday evening in a shooting incident at a Plano home. The shooting happened in the 1700 block of W. Spring Creek Pkwy near Blue Ridge Trail
Plano police initially responded to a weapons call when officers heard shots when they approached the home.
Police shot and killed the suspect on arrival at the home, according to Plano police officer David Tilley.
"The first arriving officer on scene made entry inside the house, confronted the suspect, ultimately shooting and killing him.
Once inside the home, police found 9 gunshot victims. 7 of the victims were dead at the scene and 2 additional victims were transported to a local hospital. The suspect's death brings the total number of dead to 8 people.

(7,574 posts)then with a gun? Innocent people killed watching a football game? Really? Good god....what sense is there is such insanity?

(112,102 posts)it indicated that the couple that owned the home had filed for divorce. I don't know whether that was tied to the violence though.

I wonder if the gunman bet on the Giants and was upset about the loss?

shot dead?
I find that attitude despicable.

(20,663 posts)Caring never translates into action. Caring without action is meaningless hand wringing, designed to make the hand-wringers feel somehow superior.
We get the government we deserve, including gun violence victims.
I don't own a gun and I never shot anyone, so, don't blame me.

(2,807 posts)Nobody blamed you.
You are blaming the dead victims, and have somehow come to the conclusion that the dead victims deserve to be dead and that you, somehow, know about each victims gun control view, and that all 8 dead deserve what they got because, somehow, all 8 are fervantly anti-gun control.
Tell me, how do come to know these things about 8 people who are dead? So that I, too, in the future, can ascertain such things through the ether.
