The Problem Is That There Is No Conceivable Bottom To The Depravity Of Trump & GOP.

Unless we can break the GOP hold the country is toast. When you add up everything that Trump and the GOP is up to you have to wonder about the future of the US. The storms are really just a distraction from what they are really doing under the radar.

The damage that Trump and the GOP will do will pale to the destruction of the hurricanes and other disasters in the long run.

But, I think your final sentence should read:

"The damage of the hurricanes and other disasters will pale to the destruction that Trump and the GOP will do in the long run."

Physical damage can be repaired. Constitutional damage is pretty much forever.
