Booker signs on to Sanders's 'Medicare-for-all' bill

The smartest thing The Democratic Senate Leadership ever did was appoint Bernie to a leadership position.

Leading the charge on Single Payer!!!

Booker signs on to Sanders's 'Medicare-for-all' bill

http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/350090-booker-signs-onto-sanderss-medicare-for-all

Sen. Cory Booker is throwing his support behind a "Medicare for all" bill being introduced by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), becoming the latest Democrat floated as a 2020 contender to back the legislation.

The New Jersey senator told NJTV News that he would sign on as a co-sponsor of the bill, which is scheduled to be rolled out on Wednesday.

"This is something that’s got to happen. ObamaCare was a first step in advancing this country, but I won’t rest until every American has a basic security that comes with having access to affordable health care," Booker told the New Jersey outlet.

He added that "you should not be punished because you are working-class or poor and be denied health care. I think health care should be a right to all."

Usually how long does it take after a bill is introduced for the CBO to release cost/savings details?

But that's ok. Good news should be spread far and wide!!!!

Plus mine is more better as it has 5 flag salute emojis. So there.

When employees donated money to Cory Booker we had "purists" demagoguing the contributions as proof Booker was "owned" by big pharma.

Same old, same old.

....the the limit for any individual in one year is $2700 ($5400 for a married couple)

Then again, if a candidate primarily accepted contributions under $50 they can avoid saying from whom those contributions came from. If you don't itemize small contributions you can accept dozens of "small" contributions from the same person to the extent that they could exceed the maximum limit.

which dont always play nice, the corporations that is, is absurd.

Something really bad happened a few years ago when a whole bunch of new, young voters were sold a lie about how they need to vote only for certain types of candidates who pass a certain test.

I dont know where to begin at just how counterproductive that will be to literal survival.

The middle and working class where screwed over with false bullshit promises for years from the dem's. Labor always backed Dems. and where taken for granted.. Look at charter schools NOW and outsourcing . Sanders has put his skinny ass on the line a few times.
