300 doctors, nurses, and paramedics await takeoff on a C-17 before heading to Orlando for Hurricane Irma response.
They are on call...and responding.

Why the snark? Subtle yet it is there.
Plus...Orlando

one of the largest tertiary facilities in the region, Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) offers the most advanced care available for all your surgical, medical, rehabilitative and emergency care needs. In addition to a highly qualified team of physicians, nurses and clinical staff, we offer the very latest in technology and diagnostic imaging capabilities. ORMC is a home to Central Florida's only Level One Trauma Center.

Wow! Orlando is a home to Central Florida's only Level One Trauma Center. How foolish of them to want to get them out of the flood waters...which the recovery teams are doing to a facility where they can be treated.
I am appalled at your response. People are dying and suffering and you seem to make a joke...or just want to criticize the men and women going to help and not care about the suffering. These people lived through a once in a lifetime Cat5 that was the size of Texas. Please do not do this. It is shameful.

(37,648 posts)5. No snark whatsoever. Why were you so rude? Subtle, but it's there.
Question: Are there a lot of injuries in Orlando?
Expounding: I haven't seen on the news anywhere that there are a lot of injuries in Orlando.
Further expounding: I just went through Hurricane Harvey. There are not a lot of injuries in the broad area where I live.
Natural question seeking information. I choose not to read your post & will get information elsewhere. I'm blocking you.

(83,708 posts)7. No one said there were a lot of injuries there.
They however have a huge number one trauma center. Where do you think they will treat the incoming? Most certainly not in the flooded areas with lesser equipped hospitals.
