16 years ago today, Trump talked about his building was now the tallest one

Listen to him talk about the "amazing phone call" and "now it's the tallest." It's jarring to listen to how excited and proud he sounded on that tragic, dark day, 9/11/01

it was still in planning at the time. then 9-11 happened and he made it shorter than the sears. didnt even want to be the tallest in chicago.
