Stay Focused
Given the release of HRC's new book it is easy to go on tangents of who is to blame and why. Don't.
Are supporters of Sanders to blame? No. (No more so than Clinton supporters were to blame for PUMA in 2008)
Sanders himself? No. (Politics is politics and both Sanders and Clinton have been in the business a long time and have very thick hides)
Media? On a certain level yes. The media is ratings driven and perpetuated that circus and wanted nothing more than that orange idiot in front of a camera as it got them more viewers. Was the whole thing their fault? Absolutely not, minor player at best.
Disenfranchised voters? Yes, they existed but was blown out of proportion and to a great extent those flames were fanned by a conspiracy of actors, both knowing and unknowing.
The above were small actors on a much bigger picture. Bit parts that, on their own, would have had little to no impact on the outcome that likely would have otherwise been an HRC victory.
So what was it?
The focus should be on the trump-Russia collusion. End of story.
This was a concerted effort, months if not more, by a hostile foreign government and a host of willing patsies in the far right and not so far right.
It was an audacious plan hinged on both willing conspirators and willing and unwilling idiots.
It was a perfect storm.
So in conclusion, put the blame where it belongs, with trump and Russia. Don't diminish the significance of what happened and that they drove the entire series of events that lead to HRC's defeat.
