I Admit I Was Wrong About tRump

I thought he singled out Katy Tur for abuse during the campaign because of what he had perceived as some sort of negative reporting.

It turns out his fragile ego couldn't handle her rejection of his repugnant, vulgar physical advances. I actually think less of him now than I did before, and I didn't believe that was possible. At least he didn't grab her... well you know.

In one chapter of Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History, released Tuesday, Tur writes about not just being targeted in Trump’s campaign speeches ― which she was, a handful of times ― but about one incident that took place with Trump before a segment on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” with Joe Scarborough.

“Before I know what’s happening,” she wrote, “his hands are on my shoulders and his lips are on my cheek. My eyes widen. My body freezes. My heart stops.”

Immediately after Trump ― who had repeatedly referred to Tur as “Little Katy” throughout his campaign ― kissed her face, Tur’s first thought was that she hoped no one saw it.

“Fuck,” she wrote. “I hope the cameras didn’t see that. My bosses are never going to take me seriously.”

Trump is a despicable POS. It's sad that an immediate thought she had was about her bosses not taking her seriously. Unfortunately that is a horrible reality for many women. They side with the predators instead. It's sick what this administration is doing to Title IX. More victims are going to be left unprotected.

A candidate forces himself on a reporter, and her first thought is how her career might be hurt because of it.

Someone who is quick thinking and not afraid of the consequences.

If a Boy Scout leader had taken the podium immediately after Trump and reinforced that the Boy Scouts in apolitical and that his speech was inappropriate.

A police chief stating that instructing police to violate suspect's rights and endanger their person is not appropriate for the President.

A rescue stating that boxes need to go in the bed and not cab of a truck

You get the idea. He will probably be managed so closely going forward that those opportunities will be few and far between.

I think they may have figured this out. The behind the scenes threats have gotten through. Trump is unstable but not suicidal.

...because they know it will somehow become their "fault" if they speak up.

I can say this because I'm a woman too, and I know exactly how this feels.

Granted that means touching that odious excuse for a person, so maybe a swift kick would be less disgusting.
