The democrats should not talk with Trump about tax reform until this happens.

He releases his tax returns. The democrats need to get tougher on Trump. That should be the first condition before any discussion on any tax reform.

I am worried that the democrats are setting themselves up to suckered by Trump. There is no way Trump or the republicans are going to agree on tax reform simply for the middle class. They want giant tax cuts for the rich. Trump is calling it a middle class tax cut.

What I would like to see congress pass is a large tax increase on the rich to pay for a big infrastructure bill and start rebuilding America.

That makes to much sense so it will never happen.
