Porsche driver who shot homeless man and left him to die was previously arrested on assault charges

Porsche driver who shot homeless man and left him to die was previously arrested on assault charges
Brad Reed BRAD REED 13 SEP 2017 AT 09:32 ET

Katie Quackenbush, the woman who allegedly shot a homeless man and left him to die after he asked her to move her Porsche, has a prior arrest record for alleged assault.

The Tennessean reports that Quackenbush, an aspiring singer who moved to Nashville after previously living in Amarillo, Texas, has twice been charged with assault on two separate women. The first assault charge has since been dropped, but the second one is still pending in Texas.

Quackenbush this week was arrested after she allegedly shot 54-year-old homeless man Gerald Melton after he asked Quackenbush to move her Porsche SUV because its exhaust fumes and loud music were impairing his ability to sleep.

I hope she gets enough time in prison to effectively reflect on her life.

I hope they throw the book at her. She sounds like a sociopathic spoiled brat with a rich lawyer daddy who's saved her bacon before, so now she figures she can get away with anything. Orange really ought to be the new black in her wardrobe.

"I shot a man in Nashville, just to watch him die."

Daddy was offering some weak sauce defense of his little girl yesterday, saying that she only meant to scare to man and had closed her eyes while nailing him with both shots. Tip for her defense counsel: Don't call Dad to testify.

Too often the rush is to paint the young, white, attractive aggressor as the real victim, driven by cruel circumstance to unlawful actions.

Certainly they dig deep into the past of every black man killed by cops, in hopes of finding some incriminating photo or tweet or whatever.

I hope that the victim sues her into homelessness, and I hope that he lives in luxury for the rest of his days.

Katie Layne Quackenbush, 26, was charged with attempted murder Monday for the Aug. 26 shooting of Gerald Melton, 54, who remains hospitalized with critical injuries.

She was booked into jail Monday evening and released after posting a $25,000 bond.

Metropolitan Nashville Police Department detectives said Melton was "trying to sleep on the sidewalk" about 3 a.m. near Nashville's Music Row when he "became disturbed by exhaust fumes and loud music coming from a Porsche SUV" ...

Someone’s got it in for me cuz I planted a few small bullets in his gut.
Whoever it was, I need to add, it was just some warning shots but
they say I shot a man named Doug and left the scene and ran away.
He stopped the slugs and fell and now could die on any day.
It's not my fault he's unlucky ...
