The "I stand with Bernie" thread!

It seems a lot of trolls are trying to tear him down. But I'm here to say I support Bernie 100% and will not let the infiltrators take that away from this community. Who is with me?

Most of 'us' have left after multiple bullying - and yet the same old song plays on here that 'we' are causing problems on this page. No - we are not. the crickets you hear are the lone cry in a sterile field you have un-cultivated.
Happy now?

For example, I have been warning that we could lose the ACA with the single payer bill that now is not the right time to advance this bill... and by not working to save the ACA, we could lose all chance of healthcare for decades ...and damned if last night on Chris Hayes if there wasn't new info on a bill that bribes GOP senators to take down the ACA and Medicaid (block grants). It apper they may have the votes.

I also don't think the majority of those you identify as trolls are not infiltrators as much as they are Democrats of a certain variety with certain issues.

We'll work it out eventually.

10. I don't stand with this thread.

The wounds in this community that occurred throughout 2016 at DU have not healed. Personalizing issues with "I stand with Bernie" or "I stand with Hillary" does nothing to help heal those wounds. Instead, it perpetuates the war that was waged between Bernie and Hillary supporters in 2016.

And yes, it was a war. I've been a DUer since 2001, and I've never seen anything like it in this community.

I've always found politics interesting and paid attention mostly but before Bernie I never really felt like anybody spoke of the issues I care about and felt passionately. Then Bernie happened. He's the first guy where I felt as though I was truly represented by someone. I not only stand with him but I have become very active politically & help with holding meetings for Our Revolution locally & working with getting the word out, engaging people.

that Medicaid will be block granted and destroyed...they will use blue state Medicaid money to bribe GOP Senators. Now where is the 'save the ACA bill"? This is the insurance millions depend on...why would anyone think advancing a single payer bill that can't pass is a good idea? I heard on Chris Hayes they may have the votes too...yesterday.

but it is not "the Truth", which, in case you hadn't noticed, is dead and buried under Trump's morning shits.

I used to love Sanders. I still agree with nearly everything he says. I think HRC should have picked him as VP.

But since I am of the opinion that his quixotic primary run, and the creation of an intransigent, antagonistic group of supporters attacking the Party from within led directly to Trump winning the White House, you're right: I don't like it.

Bernie enjoys the highest rating of ANY currently serving politician. Only 8% of registered Democrats view him as unfavorable. He brought in more younger voters than Hillary and Trump COMBINED. If that's what you consider toxic, I'd hate to see what you consider as strength.

56. Is Bernie a Democrat now? If not, he's splitting up the Dem voting base.

And I'm not supportive of that, nor is that the purpose of this website. It's not "Left Leaning Independents Who Caucus with Democrats Underground dot com" last time I checked.

58. Would like to see Hillary post in this thread

Because in some ways, I see her book as being critical of Bernie, and that undermines his ability to get legislation passed.

61. So you already read the book? I'm still waiting for my copy to come in the mail.

But I've read the excerpts and seen the interviews, and I think you are mistaken.

Maybe because an "I Stand With Jill Stein" wouldn't get as much attention?

Also saying that would get someone tossed, at this juncture. Jill is a genuine gold-plated tool and all-around useful idiot.

82. In case you need translation

Some of our Republican visitors only post in their native language:

EXCERPTS FROM THE OFFICIAL DICTIONARY OF REPUBLICANESE

In Republicanese, many words that sound alike may be spelled differently at random. A few prominent examples:

In Republicanese, the following words may be spelled at random using any of the three ways given:

A.) Two, Too, To
B.) Their, They're, There
c.) Your, Yore, You're

The Republicanese version of Robin Hood therefore starts with "In days of you're...."

The only rule is that the correct use of them as in English is never permitted twice in a row.

Words with single letters that change meaning when a letter is doubled must never be used in correct English context. The classic example is “lose” vs. “loose.” In Republicanese, if you do not win an election, then you “loose” that election. Conversely, if your (Republicanese: you’re) belt is too tight, you need it more “lose” in order to be comfortable. Another example would be the Republicanese, “I met Donald Trump, and he was rudder than I imagined,” vs. “I grabbed the ruder and was able to steer the boat to shore.”

In Republicanese, an apostrophe is used to form a plural, but it must be done at random, never systematically. For example, Bill and Hillary are "the Clinton's," but Bill, Chelsea and Hillary are "the Clintons." The other way around is also correct. In Republicanese, either form is correct as long as it is not spelled the same way twice in a row.

91. If people are going to post in some dialect so deviating from standard English

It's to the point where no one whose native language is English can make heads or tails of it, we need SOME kind of linguistic guide to help us out.

It's always the Republicans who bash people for not speaking "American (though none of them seem to know any Navajo, Lakota or other American languages)," and it is always they who have such a convoluted version of English that one has to wonder how they passed the third grade. Unless you are such a Republican, or have a PhD in linguistics, you ought to be thankful for the guide.

66. Thank you !

I liked Bernie in the primaries,
and I voted for Hillary in November.

And I'm tired of the daily attacks on Bernie.

We need to move forward and beat the GOP in 2018 and 2020.

And yes, I've been attacked here for saying this in the past.
