Richmond Va. tomorrow's shitstorm on Monument Avenue
Well we're having us a nice old fashioned shitstorm tomorrow here in the "Rivah city". The New Confederate States of America - yes really - are having a rally at the Lee Monument on Monument Ave. police are shutting down streets now in preparation. No weapons allowed except guns but the guns can't be brandished. Richmond police are prepared for this craptastic display of ignorance to possibly extend down Monument Ave. from the Stuart statue (this place is littered with second place trophies) and possibly to the Arthur Ashe monument.
The Lee Monument is actually under State jurisdiction so the RPF have been coordinating with the Capital Police (oldest police force in the country) and been in contact with police forces in Charlottesville, Boston, and Berkeley.
Apparently last night 3 hours west of here in Roanoke someone vandalized their Lee monument with "Rest in power Heather Heyer".
