The REAL Key To Selling Medicare for All

EVERYONE will be covered (phased in over time, starting with minors and 55+). Healthcare IS A RIGHT.

No Deductibles. No Co-pays.

From the bill:
(a) IN GENERAL.—The Secretary shall ensure that no cost-sharing, including deductibles, coinsurance, copay- ments, or similar charges, be imposed on an individual for any benefits provided under this Act, except as described in subsection (b).

Dental and Vision are part of Healthcare and are covered.

From the bill:
SEC. 1013. COVERAGE OF DENTAL AND VISION SERVICES AND HEARING AIDS AND EXAMINATIONS
UNDER MEDICARE PART B.

Costs would go DOWN:
"The single-payer, government-run system has the potential to control prices much better than our current system," said Larry Levitt, a senior vice president at the Kaiser Family Foundation. With a simpler system would come lower administrative costs, making health care much more efficient, for example; and the government would negotiate drug prices, bringing health care costs down, as well as the price per service.

It can be paid for by taxing employers and the wealthy.
a 7.5 percent payroll tax on employers, a 4 percent individual income tax and an array of taxes on wealthier Americans, as well as corporations. In addition, Sanders' plan says the end of big health insurance-related tax expenditures, like employers' ability to deduct insurance premiums, would save trillions of dollars.

Medicare is wonderful and a godsend to seniors. But as a couple, we pay nearly $12,000 a year for it! Between deductions from social security for Part B, supplemental insurance and Drug insurance, it adds up. No dental or eye care either. Will these fees and deductions apply for all? We choose to have insurance that lets us travel, so no advantage plans apply. I'm still waiting to see how it's funded before I embrace it.

There would be no Part B or supplemental because everything would be covered. Medicare for All IS a SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM.

But I'm seeing many fantastical predictions about what will happen if enacted. We need a CBO analysis before I'm convinced.
