Mexico was hit with a rain bearing hurricane yesterday

and another one is bearing down - this is #3 for this year plus that massive earthquake.

1. Max hit pretty far north of the quake zone, near Acapulco

so it could have been a lot worse. Katia did cause a lot of interior flooding, Mexico City underpasses were pretty much flooded out for a day or two.

It could have been much, much worse if Max had hit in Chiapas or Oaxaca.
