Relief efforts are ongoing - where should I donate?

Well, I don't know where you should donate if you're of a mind to do so, but here's an update from Children's Disaster Services, which is sending more teams down to Florida this weekend:

In addition to direct donations (and these folks stretch every dollar they get), they also have some tips on other ways you or an organization you belong to might help out.

It can be daunting with all the outfits and agencies out there to choose a worthy one. Nobody wants their charitable help to go to waste or to be ripped off by a scam artist. Go with a name you know, or thoroughly check out anybody who seems all right but you're just not sure.

They have tons of problems with the earthquake and hurricane and they don't have the resources we do...or perhaps the island that got totally destroyed by Irma.
When Haiti go decimated years back we responded with something..
This time our asshole president didn't even bother to call the head of Mexico
