Manafort was wiretapped before and after he was involved with the Trump campaign AND he is going to be indicted.

(51,432 posts)just as bad if not worse! What else is new. This CRAZY shit is non stop since Nov 8th. He is exhausting everyone, especially the already ill (I am one of them and he is helping to kill me sooner via ACA repeal, the mental stress, etc.).

And...looks like NYState DA will be pushing the case at state level, where Trump has no pardon power.

(1,660 posts)LM has been ahead of the curve every step of the way, along with a couple of guys too. No wonder the bots went after her, Claude Taylor and John Schindler so mercilessly.
She was right. About pretty much everything.

(80,708 posts)I wonder.
Many don't want to get their hopes up with uncertain expectations only to see those hopes become dashed again. That's some of it. There's also a big streak of anti-conspiracy theory folks, who are not willing to believe without corroboration. Other reasons, too. Valid.
She had me at the shall we play chess, mr Putin? way back at the beginning. She's been miles ahead. I think she's meant to be a lifeline for us, being fed by some intelligence agency or other.

(2,050 posts)I read twitter from her and Claude, I always take things as unproven but I learned a hell of a lot by reading these two along with Tea Pain, 20 Committee, Spicers Mic and others.
And they led me here.
They get put down because of incorrect procedures and other things said in their offerings, like who can or can't do this or that, but I think there are kernels of truth in what they produce, and some has turned out to be correct from what I've seen.
There are those here who spend a lot of effort to put them down, that's ok because I don't read those posts, I don't need to argue about my choice of what I read.
We may find that they were correct about some things in the future, I'll wait to decide what's real till then.

(7,178 posts)A number on DU have voiced skepticism, not discredit. And I can't blame them, people have been burned before on "news" here. Furthermore, skepticism is a tool used to combat fake news. Following blindly of what you think is a trusted source is a Republican trait.

(1,660 posts)My previous account (GliderGuider) was suspended for too many mentions of LM. A number of users were very active in alerting on threads about Mensch, and getting them hidden. A suspended account to me indicates more than just skepticism.

(6,341 posts)...but I got hell and high water here, for refusing to accept that Ukraine's overthrow of a Moscow backed politician was not a popular revolt and likely a CIA sponsored coup. I agreed that Putin was behind the Crimea seizure and revolt, but when I pointed out that Crimea technically doesn't belong to either country..I was met with crickets. Fully expected to get banned, but unlike others, I DID NOT post sources like sputnik news or RT. That may have saved me vs. some others. Just because someone publishes it, doesn't make it true. DU is pretty specific on what it considers a reliable source, if its not on the list, then you have to caveat your source. End of story. Its a private site and you have to play by their rules. Which I'm perfectly okay with.

(3,675 posts)You must have broken other forum rules. I see many people who use her for a source still posting here. I also suspect it is against the rules to start another account if your prior one was flagged for review unless admin gave you permission to so it probably wasn't a good idea to post that publically.

(1,660 posts)I had 20,000 posts over 13 years, and had never had any trouble before. All the post removals were Mensch posts, and the TOS violation each time was "No kooky, extremist, or hate content" I think Mensch qualified for them under "kooky", though no one ever told me what precisely I had done wrong.

(3,467 posts)couldn't that be a good thing for Trump?
I didn't see Maddow and have not read much about this yet - so forgive me if I am missing something here.
But if the investigation was underway before Trump was involved, couldn't Trump use that to his advantage? Throw others under the bus and claim if anything was going on it was with them before they were a part of his campaign?
milestogo
(16,829 posts)what Manafort did on his own and what he did when he worked for the Trump campaign. If they wiretapped Manafort while he was working for Trump there are probably some very interesting conversations on tape, and Trump loses deniability.
