WTF was Il Douche doing? I understand that he has no use for the UN, but could he at least....

pretend that it is a worldwide institution, not simply there for the US to exploit. Granted, the US and others have exploited it in the past, but in such an obvious way?

And no mention of South Sudan, Brazil, the Philippines, Yemen, Myanmar, Turkey and other places where there are problems enough. Iran, Venezuela and Korea are the source of the world's troubles?

Standing in front of the world's largest deliberative body (in name, at least) and threatening to vanquish a nation, making it completely disappear, is the speech of a madman, not "leader of the free world".

as a way of boosting viewership would not be a good thing for our nation or the rest of the planet. Not overfrightening populaces while world leaders mostly choose not to react and to blow off this blowhard, in effect descalating around him, seems like a very good idea. The leaders of the other 195 nations or so all know he won't be president long, including even if he somehow finished out his term.

is NOT a good thing.

Lexicographically speaking that's like saying "it's shit being shit."

Headlines:
(snip)
A blunt, fearful rant: Trump's UN speech left presidential norms in the dust

His maiden address was unlike any delivered by a US president, and when it was over a sense of incoherence and menace hung in the air

White House said:
(snip)
it marked an important exposition of his approach to foreign policy, labeled “principled realism”.

See:

Somewhere there, I missed the "principled" part.
