"We have a September 30 deadline on our promise. Lets finish the job, he said in a statement provided by his office. We must because there is a mother and father whose child will have insurance because of Graham Cassidy Heller Johnson. There is someone whose pre-existing condition will be addressed because of GCHJ.
I dedicated my medical career to care for such as these, Cassidy said. This is why GCHJ must pass."

(58,730 posts)just parrots his talking points. He was on with Katy Tur yesterday. Evaded every question and just spouted his "freedumb, choice, and costs will fall" bullshit.
Very -worthy.

(6,936 posts)Then, when back with his Death panel buds like Turtle and Eddie Munster he REALLY comes out with the "plan" he had envisioned from the start. Graham is bad enough but Cassidy is a full blow POS.

(2,787 posts)if he so dedicated to his medical career he wouldn't be in the senate and he especially wouldn't be trying to rip healthcare away from millions of people. He wouldn't be trying to address someone's preexisting condition which doesn't need to be addressed sense it's already coverage under the current healthcare law. What he means by addressed is either giving insurance the option of charging more or ending coverage to preexisting conditions all together.

(7,434 posts)What an absolute thrill it must be for them. Millions will die. If this death trap passes and is signed, we'll watch in real time as the US' mortality rate AND bankruptcy rates skyrocket. The winner? Funeral parlors.
This bill is suicidal for the GOP. I want to see them decimated as a political force, but they'll kill a lot of people in the process, and that's not an acceptable trade-off.
The GOP is converting dislike of their political party into a hatred. And they don't care.

she would have been a solid supporter of the ACA.

(14,628 posts)Landrieu was trashed by liberals and now look at the asshole we have in her place.
Same thing with Governor John Bel Edwards, a Democrat who is pushing back against Cassidy's disastrous healthcare plan. Many liberals were opposed to him too because he isn't 'progressive' enough. Jeebus, Bobby Jindal was his predecessor! He was a disaster! You would think liberals would support any Democrat if only to keep the crazy conservatives out of office.

That battle was fairly recent history but too many all-or-nothing progressives have not examined it.

(89,278 posts)Always question the motives of these types. It's a fucking right wing leaning state and there is no way someone opposed to certain industries will win. Yet these people make such demands.
And i believe it's all about helping republicans win.
Landrieu was a good senator and minorities in these right wing states especially need these democratic reps.
