Asked for a response to Kimmel’s comments, Cassidy focused on the looming September 30 deadline for Senate Republicans to pass a health care bill.

"We have a September 30 deadline on our promise. Let’s finish the job,” he said in a statement provided by his office. “We must because there is a mother and father whose child will have insurance because of Graham Cassidy Heller Johnson. There is someone whose pre-existing condition will be addressed because of GCHJ.”

“I dedicated my medical career to care for such as these,” Cassidy said. “This is why GCHJ must pass."

if he so dedicated to his medical career he wouldn't be in the senate and he especially wouldn't be trying to rip healthcare away from millions of people. He wouldn't be trying to address someone's preexisting condition which doesn't need to be addressed sense it's already coverage under the current healthcare law. What he means by addressed is either giving insurance the option of charging more or ending coverage to preexisting conditions all together.

What an absolute thrill it must be for them. Millions will die. If this death trap passes and is signed, we'll watch in real time as the US' mortality rate AND bankruptcy rates skyrocket. The winner? Funeral parlors.

This bill is suicidal for the GOP. I want to see them decimated as a political force, but they'll kill a lot of people in the process, and that's not an acceptable trade-off.

Landrieu was a supporter of gas and oil interests, major industry in Louisiana, but
she would have been a solid supporter of the ACA.

Same thing with Governor John Bel Edwards, a Democrat who is pushing back against Cassidy's disastrous healthcare plan. Many liberals were opposed to him too because he isn't 'progressive' enough. Jeebus, Bobby Jindal was his predecessor! He was a disaster! You would think liberals would support any Democrat if only to keep the crazy conservatives out of office.
