This is my 8000th post, but actually my 38,885th post if you include my previous incarnation as Amerigo Vespucci.

The BEST part of this is that when I went to YouTube to grab the clip, the first comment showing is:

11. I really hated giving up the name

I might have been able to persuade Skinner to restore me if I had some form of proof that I was who I said I was.

The reason for the switch was that I had a complete meltdown of my hard drive...data was wiped (I believe it was a mixture of hardware failure AND a virus which preceded it).

And as such, I not only didn't remember my password, I didn't remember the email address I used to set up the account.

Since my tone as Miles is identical to my tone as Amerigo, I decided people would figure out who I was eventually.

There's been an upswing on juxtaposition lately...more and more people are posting the latest Trump atrocity alongside "A year ago, Obama said this..."

It's heartbreaking, and I try to remember that sometimes the road that got you lost can also be the road that will get you home again, if you travel it wisely.
