I know there were security issues. Have they been fixed?
If not what's the best way to see if I've been affected?

(24,644 posts)I went on the Equifax website and entered fake names and SSN #'s and they came up as "breached". I entered the last names of "Rainbow" "Birdbrain" "Trumpsux" - all with SSN#'s like 123456, 000000, 987654...Really cockamamie made up info and the auto message I got was that my info had been breached. IMO, something is really wrong with all of this. I don't trust Equifax.

(22,037 posts)Equifax was forwarding requests like yours to a phishing site/malware. Don't know if it has been fixed by now.
