A message to my flooded neighbors in my very Conservative town

This morning while perusing my newsfeed and Facebook feed I came across a message from a neighbor who got flooded out. My community is a very Conservative area, Kingwood, in Houston. She was expressing an ire towards FEMA and implicitly the government. I felt compelled to respond and use her complaint to make some important points.

It is so darn true. Heard this first from a Union Member who I defended in a Union grievance session. Can defend the Fellows Rights under our Negotiated Binding Contract, but I can not defend your wrongs, all I can do is hope for some concession that might save your job. Here is his actual comment,"I voted for Nixon, you can't take my job". Saved his sorry butt, suspension without pay for one week. Saved his Pension and Health Insurance, which was paid and maintained with first dollar coverage, paid by our Employer Group. Never heard thank you from him or his sorry ass buddy's.

You just can not fix Stupid.
