Why weren't we warned about this?

I don't buy the holy place part of this but it's deep otherwise - and I love both the music and Tosh's voice.

(11,196 posts)Maybe these scientific climate studying people could have written papers and issued reports to world leaders and mainstream media types could have passed the warnings on to regular people. That would have been good, if only that had happened.

Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
