Zuckerberg vows to protect election integrity"

Mark Zuckerberg is digging more into the possible role his social network -- as well as covert Russian agents -- may have played in the 2016 US election.

Facebook said Thursday it's handing over 3,000 Russia-linked ads to the Senate and House intelligence committees as investigators delve into what happened.

Earlier this month, Facebook disclosed it sold $100,000 worth of ads to inauthentic accounts likely linked to Russia during the election. Last week, the company said it's working with investigators as Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team look into alleged Russian meddling into the election.

Facebook has been in the spotlight as it tries to grapple with its scale and influence. The social network faces continued criticism for its handling of false news spreading on the site, as well as accusations that Facebook adds to division in the country by splitting people up over their ideologies.

You just work on that integrity thing while you're opening your subscribers' private lives to data mining by corporations--and worse.

11. I have F'book and I deleted everything

I deleted everything I ever had on there, all my old pics, all my "Faves" in all categories, all my posts.

And every last bit of personal information including my birthday, address, age, everything.

I unfriended everybody that wasn't a lifelong friend or a relative, I told them all before I did it and why, then I told F'book to delete my account.

I then created a new page using an old email account I hadn't used in years and set the page up so that no notification would be sent to me whatsoever when anything was posted to my page.

And I haven't seen any "likes" from anyone still in my friends list since.

All my real friends know how to contact me personally outside of F'book in case something happens I should know about.

The way it used to be, so you can use F'book the way you want to and not the way they want it used, you just have to work at it.

And if they (F'book) don't like it that's tough shit, at the first indication something is not what I desire then it's goodbye forever.
