We need more speakers to make that connection. Loudly and frequently.
The message is: "Ignore what your constituents want.. we gave you campaign money for you to give us tax cuts. Give us tax cuts now."

(51,584 posts)Neither have to do with Hellcare or the health of people. The GOP is getting bombarded by their mega rich donors who want their promised tax cut since they paid big bucks for it. The other is that they promised they would do it for their constituents. However, half their constituents have changed their minds and DO want it now since they didn't know the ACA and Obamacare were the same thing (idiots).

But in this one, virtually everyone is a loser. Virtually everyone either loses health insurance or pays more or gets fewer benefits. Or some combination of that. Or just gets sick and dies.
The only people who benefit are the very few who make soooo much money that cutting taxes a mere couple percent will more than offset all they lose from healthcare sucking after Donnie is through with it.
But those few people stand to save so very much money, they have plenty to throw at candidates, which is why we're still only a couple senators away from passing one of the worst laws ever.

One Texas-based donor warned Republican lawmakers that his Dallas piggy bank was now closed, until he saw legislative progress.
Get Obamacare repealed and replaced, get tax reform passed, said Doug Deason. Get it done and well open it back up.
Nonetheless, Koch officials said that the networks midterm budget for policy and politics is between $300m and $400m.
