WH staffers getting afraid that being associated with Trump makes them unemployable.

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/09/no-joy-in-trumpworld-white-house-staffers-looking-to-jump-ship-and-mass-exodus-coming/

White House staffers are sending out resumes and preparing to flee the chaos of the Trump administration.

Morale has plummeted amid the widening Russia investigation and the personnel changes at the top, which has left staffers without allies in an administration characterized by mistrust, reported Politico.

“There will be an exodus from this administration in January,” said one Republican lobbyist, who has personally heard from five officials looking to leave. “Everyone says, ‘I just need to stay for one year.’ If you leave before a year, it looks like you are acknowledging that you made a mistake.”

...

“There is no joy in Trumpworld right now,” said one adviser in close contact with staffers. “Working in the White House is supposed to be the peak of your career, but everyone is unhappy, and everyone is fighting everyone else.”

...

“Some people are a little nervous that corporations will hold their time in the Trump White House against them, particularly companies like Google or Uber or tech players,” said one GOP strategist who has fielded calls from staffers looking to leave.

Most people knew long ago that tRump is deranged, a liar, a cheater and a fraud. After seeing how many small contractors had to sue him to get paid, who would trust this orange ass? He, and his cohorts have damaged the office of president for many years to come. Who would think being president has any prestige now, after this fiasco? The gop OWNS this whole shit show, lock, stock and barrel.

Liability, reputation, perceived value, and all that. As hard as it may be for GOPers to believe, companies still care about that stuff.

Only a complete idiot would think otherwise. But, then, we are talking about an administration full of complete idiots.

As a construction purchasing manager in NE Florida, I have salespersons assume I'm a republican. Bad mistake.

I usually tell them I'm the most liberal person they have ever met. That usually ends the sales call.

you willingly work for a madman and you wonder if others will want to hire you?

I'm sure there are criminal organizations out there who would be happy to have people with no moral compass or ethics to work for them. If you work for that orange thing, you've proven that you have neither, so it makes you more employable in some places.

I'm not sure I believe there's going to be a large exodus. The fact that they're saying they're going to leave in Jan. is suspect, to me. Could just be people talking, like we all do ("geez, I don't like this job...I'm leavin' in January" having no real intention of doing so).

I wouldn't hire someone so dense that it took them a year to figure out that they were supporting a scamming grifter by continuing to work for him. If they didn't blow the whistle on him within the first few days of seeing what he was really all about, they are complicit. Sticking around that long shows support.

There seems to be a gap in your employment in the first part of 2017. What was that about?

"Oh, uh . . . heh, heh. It's a little embarrassing. I was in jail."

I see. Because when we did a background check, someone with your name was in the Trump administration during that time.

"No, no! Hand to God, it was jail!"
