Some Orange County residents were stunned Thursday, Sept. 21, when television programming was suddenly interrupted for about a minute with an ominous message predicting the end of the world.
Stacy Laflamme of Lake Forest said she was watching the HGTV channel via Cox Communications about 11:05 a.m. when suddenly an emergency alert flashed across her screen followed by a voice.
Realize this, extremely violent times will come, a mans voice boomed, according to a video of the alert.
Laflamme said she was alarmed.

Perhaps this is a concerted effort.

As I recall, although it's a bit blurry in memory, me and my buddies finished the keg and then slobbered off to our respective beds.
From this ancient and venerable parable, the wise Grasshopper may draw fruitful instruction.

(4,723 posts)I looked at some reports on this, it sounds like it was an actual test that did not shut down correctly. Wondering if this is simply a matter of personnel hooking up to an unintended feed, from a satellite broadcast or AM radio transmission of a sermon or end times broadcast.
