The 9/30 deadline applies to THIS year...but next year is right around the corner.
Does anyone believe that this latest effort to kill Obamacare is the last effort the Rs have planned? I don't believe it for a second.

(6,019 posts)The house would have to pass yet another shitty bill and then the Senate take it up again... which is not out of realm of possibility. This is why strong mid-term challengers and continued pressure are necessities.

While I am certainly not advocating violence or physical harm to any individual or wishing anyone ill will, I believe the Koch brothers have had their time in the sun, and would not mind if they shuffled off this mortal coil anytime soon. Instead of using their fabulous wealth -the vast majority of it inherited- to do good for our Country and mankind, they choose to throw their ginormous hissy fits that negatively affect so many people.

(51,590 posts)McConnell would have to convince Dems to vote for repeal. That is why he is rushing this through. Also, Joy Reid said thar GOP reps told her that the rich donors are putting a ton of pressure on the GOP since they want their tax cuts (fuck sick and poor people) and already gave them a ton of money to vote for their greedy financial agenda...they can never have enough money. It is like the Russian oligarchs. Reagan's trickle down BS is STILL being sold to ignorant Americans who buy it hook, line and sinker every time for over 30 years.
