How Soon After 9/30 Can Senate Rs Bring Up Another 50-vote Repeal of the ACA?

The 9/30 deadline applies to THIS year...but next year is right around the corner.

Does anyone believe that this latest effort to kill Obamacare is the last effort the Rs have planned? I don't believe it for a second.

There is zero chance they WONT get er done eventually UNLESS

UNLESS

there is a mind numbing number of people who show up to vote a year from now who ALL vote for ANY democrat on ANY ballot

then and only then

And I dont know the answer to your question, but likely they will wait for McCain to die.

Repeal is unpopular, and there will be millions of motivated voters who just lost their insurance.

8. Yes, only one rec bill per budget per year. For healthcare, they'd have to start the process over.

The house would have to pass yet another shitty bill and then the Senate take it up again... which is not out of realm of possibility. This is why strong mid-term challengers and continued pressure are necessities.

12. My understanding is that they may PASS only one bill thru reconciliation per year,

but that they may try to pass as many as they want, as long as the bill(s) meets the standard for reconciliation. Once a bill passes thru reconciliation, that's it for the year.

...and decreed no more campaign cash until they get what they want: (1) an end to the Affordable Care Act; (2) reduction in overall regulation and standards in just about every area; and (3) tax cuts and other perks for the uber-wealthy.

While I am certainly not advocating violence or physical harm to any individual or wishing anyone ill will, I believe the Koch brothers have had their time in the sun, and would not mind if they shuffled off this mortal coil anytime soon. Instead of using their fabulous wealth -the vast majority of it inherited- to do good for our Country and mankind, they choose to throw their ginormous hissy fits that negatively affect so many people.

7. I think that after Oct 1st they would need 60 votes and they simply do not have it.

McConnell would have to convince Dems to vote for repeal. That is why he is rushing this through. Also, Joy Reid said thar GOP reps told her that the rich donors are putting a ton of pressure on the GOP since they want their tax cuts (fuck sick and poor people) and already gave them a ton of money to vote for their greedy financial agenda...they can never have enough money. It is like the Russian oligarchs. Reagan's trickle down BS is STILL being sold to ignorant Americans who buy it hook, line and sinker every time for over 30 years.
