It is an adverb if used "...acted stupidly", or an adjective "...a stupid act".

Forrest Gump said, "stupid is as stupid does" but I don't know how correctly that is apllied either.

I don't like the way the media and some others in the spotlight screw around with our language. We can use correct grammar and be articulate with what we have. I read too many poorly written newspaper stories and hear too many grammar challenged pundits and reporters.

I don't want to be a grammar nazi, but we need to keep some standards. We laugh at Palin and 45 for good reason. We should try to avoid their mistakes.

Certainly our language will evolve. But I like standards, too.

"some stupid with a flare gun burned the place to the ground"

And that was quite a long time ago.

"Stupid" can freely fulfill the roles of all parts of speech.

Examples:
Trump stupid stupid, stupid.
Stupid stupid, Trump stupid, stupid stupid stupid.

I'm sure you can think of similar examples that are equally valid..

Is that most any word can be used as any part of speech, in the right context. There's the inherent risk the usage could spread, however. For instance: while I agree that "Trump may stupid us into a war" should be correct for that one particular topic, those cannibals with mutations allowing them to survive the nuclear fallout may end up using stupid as a verb for the rest of the apocalypse.

Defending my herd of radiation roaches from the People of the Metal Hills is gonna be a big enough pain in the ass without them bashing in my head while using stupid as a verb.
