(14,349 posts)I'm sure DHS has (some of) the most sophisticated electronic forensic teams on the planet. Still, there are ways to hide one's online origin.
While this report is mildly comforting, it's nowhere near convincing enough to make me think a successful hack didn't happen somewhere. It's not like a bank account was emptied or a system was held captive by ransomware. We may honestly never know if the Russians (or agents of Russia located outside that country or agents from another nation besides Russia) pulled off the hack of the century.

they are defining success in a way that works for them.
