Oversight board created for Altoona-Johnstown diocese in wake of abuse cases

Federal prosecutors and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown announced Thursday the creation of a new five-member board to review the diocese’s compliance with an agreement for stricter procedures in combating sexual abuse of minors by priests.
