President Donald tRumps attorneys in the probe of Russian election interference are being funded in part through a Republican Party account with a handful of wealthy donorsincluding a billionaire investor, a property developer seeking U.S. government visas and a Ukrainian-born American who has made billions of dollars doing business with Russian oligarchs.
The Republican National Committee, through an account typically used for its own legal bills, paid more than $300,000 last month to help cover Mr. tRumps private legal fees, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission.
The fund has also paid another nearly $200,000 to lawyers for the presidents eldest son, Donald tRump Jr., according to a person familiar with the payments. Those expenditures will be disclosed in the RNCs September report, the person said.

The RNC and campaigns payment arrangement for Mr. Trumps lawyers is legal. But ethics experts cautioned that Mr. Trumps decision to rely on party and campaign accounts to pay for his attorney fees can raise thorny political issues.
Big-dollar special interest fundraising to pay the presidents legal bills most certainly raises the threat of corruption, said Paul Ryan, vice president of policy and litigation at the nonpartisan transparency advocacy group Common Cause. Lots of donors to the RNC are looking for access and influence. A big check for the presidents legal bills is one more way to do it. - WSJ
Imagine that. A Ukrainian billionaire with ties to Russian oligarchs is funding Dotard's Russian defense bills. No possibility of quid-pro-quo there. That would be unfathomable!

(29,198 posts)then this expenditure of $500,000 (so far) would only be .00005 of his net worth... or .005 percent.
Let's say you have a net worth of something like $100,000.
This would be the same percentage of your net worth... $5
Yup, Trump is soaking the RNC for the equivalent of $5... if he is worth $10B. or $50 if he is "only" worth $1B.
I think he is actually broke.

(22,665 posts)the two Dotards are chewing through.
But hey, if the RNC is okay with losing half a $ million every month for a guy who's policies aren't getting passed, I'm all for it.
I think Dotard is actually broke too. We'll know here soon enough.
