Freedom of speech gives you the right to say something without the government stopping you. It doesn't give you the right to say it without being shouted down or punched in the face.

The right to free expression concerns solely the relationship between government and those governed, not between or among private persons and organizations – one private person cannot ‘violate’ the free speech of another private person.

For private persons to shout-down, boycott, or otherwise denounce speech they oppose is not a First Amendment ‘issue.’

It’s quite common for most on the right to be ignorant of this fact.
