A personal first

They say there’s a first time for everything. Well, today is a first for me.

I’m one of those social freaks who isn’t into big sports; don’t watch the games, don’t follow any players, don’t put team logos on my car, and don’t buy their gear (although I did once buy a team shirt from Goodwill for a white elephant gift exchange). That record was cracked today.

For the first time in my life, I bought a brand new sports team shirt. It’s red, it has a big number 7, and the name on the back is Kaepernik. I’ll wear it proudly. I’d kneel with him if my old knees would let me, so I’ll stand with him instead.

It’s also been said that change is the only permanence. But don’t be looking for me to make a habit of the sports thing, ain’t gonna happen.

to madamesanantoniospurs. That would be one more modest step in a sports cheerleading direction.

unless you count when I was 14 and cavorted among the bleachers while my QB boyfriend was on the field. I am in Packer country and if I told any of my folks here, they wouldn't believe me !!! I am with you today.

is taking the high road, the morally superior position, but credit where credit is due.

On the other hand what if the owners did fire any that knelt? TOO FUNNY. The whole house of cards would fall in seconds.
