Seahawks' Sherman, Bennett respond to Trump's rants against NFL player protests

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman says President Donald Trump's comments about players who kneel during the national anthem are "divisive" and "unacceptable."

Trump said during a speech Friday night that NFL owners should fire players who kneel during "The Star-Spangled Banner." And he suggested that fans show their disapproval of the demonstrations by walking out of the stadium in protest.

The president's comments prompted reaction by NFL players, and by Saturday morning, many of them, including Sherman, expressed their condemnation on Twitter.

"The behavior of the President is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. If you do not Condemn this divisive Rhetoric you are Condoning it!!" Sherman tweeted.

In terms of the combined salaries of the protesters, we could be talking hundreds of millions$. This might be the biggest protest in history.

And 27.5 is smart about media relations. He's gotta see he can't win this one - not with Goodell and thus the NFL owners against him. He's overplayed his hand. He has two bad choices - back down, or lose the nation.

My guess is Sun AM he backs down. Let's see.

It will be something else that he will be fucking up tomorrow, and you won't hear another word about this thing anymore.

Trump is a real-life Godzilla movie in 3D. "Oh, my God, Godzilla's at the train station! Hundreds of people are in that tube! They will die without help!" "Now he's stomping down Main Street with a gasoline truck in his little fists! Run for your lives!" And so on and so on and so on...

We will have no idea all of the real and lasting damage he has done until he is several months out of office... and away from the Tweeter.

watching on TV, and buying the NFL jerseys, et al. Won't happen. If they give up their seats, there are 10 people behind them waiting to buy them.

And it has really bothered me that the Trumpians are bringing the salaries of the NFL players into the taking a knee protest. Someone's salary has nothing to do with taking a protest stand. People of all walks of life - poor to rich, protest.

Even if you keep that, Thump definitely doesn't deserve an uppercase P. He's an embarrassment to the office and the country.
